dremel-ed a hole in the side for the USB connection and left the sides open.

Xantech controlled outlet

This outlet is controlled by a 5V DC connection. This is where the fan is plugged in.

Temp Sensor Open

The sensor is mounted on the top of the box so it can be removed from the wall easily

Temperature sensor mounted inside a surface mount telephone box with slots cut into it with a Dremel tool.

Fan Installed

Here's the "room-to-room" fan installed on the inside of the closet near the ceiling (you can see the temp sensor on the wall around the corner from it.
